Matterhorn & Gornergrat

This private full-day tour takes you in 4 hours from Basel or Zurich directly
to the Gornergrat above Zermatt with a direct view of the Matterhorn. Hardly anyone can get enough of the panorama at the top: At 10'171 feet above sea level, a large viewing platform awaits us with views of 29 four-thousand-metre peaks; mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see. 

After lunch at the panorama restaurant, we take the mountain railway back down to Rotenboden and then enjoy a leisurely hike to the world-famous Riffelsee, in which the Matterhorn is reflected. This is a top-class photo spot. Pure idyll.

 In this unspoilt Alpine landscape, you can forget everyday life in the valley below. The play of light with the clouds in the sky, the wide horizon, the view of the highest mountains in the entire Alpine arc - it all says:

I'll be back. For sure.

In Riffelberg we get back on the mountain railway and ride down to Zermatt. After a leisurely stroll through Zermatt, we take the train back to Basel or Zurich.
