Piz Gloria, James Bond Package

On this private full-day tour, we follow in the footsteps of James Bond
to Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Oberland. After just 32 minutes on the aerial cableway from the Stechelberg valley station, we reach the summit
of the Schilthorn. Surrounded by over 200 mountain peaks, some of them high alpine, in the midst of an unspoilt mountain world, Piz Gloria stands
at 9744 feet above sea level. Like an icon, the building towers unmistakably on the summit of the Schilthorn. If you let your gaze wander, you can enjoy
a breathtaking 360° panorama: the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and other peaks of the Bernese and Valais Alps stand majestically side by side.  In very good visibility conditions, the view extends as far as the Black Forest in Germany or the French Mont Blanc massif.

Between October 1968 and May 1969, the Schilthorn was the focus of filming for the film "On Her Majesty's Secret Service".

The revolving restaurant served as the base for the villain Blofeld and was given the name "Piz Gloria" in the film, which has remained to this day. In
the Spy World, the interactive exhibition about the film, visitors are immersed in the filming and background stories on a tour of 7 key scenes.

You will learn details about the filming, see the original script and can try out your own Bond skills. A speedy bobsleigh ride or a flight in the helicopter simulator, in the original body of the decommissioned Alouette III of Air Glaciers, guarantee exciting Bond minutes. But there are also gripping background stories from participants, locals and reports from the media world of the time.  In the 360° restaurant Piz Gloria, we enjoy the gigantic mountain panorama over a delicious lunch including a specially branded 007 burger. The restaurant rotates on its own axis in just 45 minutes.

On the gondola ride down, we make a stop at the Birg intermediate station and visit the Skyline Walk. This viewing platform is an extension of the large sun terrace and leads over the vertical abyss. The structure, mainly made
of steel and glass with a floor of grating, blends seamlessly into the angular rocky landscape thanks to its angular shape. On the opposite side of
the Skyline Walk is the entrance to the Thrill Walk, which leads down into
the vertical walls of the imposing rock massif. At lofty heights, the steel construction nestles along the rock, then swings under the viewing platform and the aerial cableway and ends below the mountain station. Various additional elements such as a crawl tunnel, glass floor, a rope and a cattle grid add to the excitement of this thrilling adventure. Afterwards, we round off the day with a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village of Mürren.
